Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to help cover eligible expenses.
Your benefits and COVID-19
We offer three programs:
- Health Care FSA: You can contribute up to $2,850* per year on a pre-tax basis to pay for qualified out-of-pocket health care expenses, including medical, dental, vision and prescription drug expenses. You can use your FSA debit card to pay for eligible expenses or submit claim forms for reimbursement if you pay out of pocket.
- Limited Purpose FSA: This is a health care FSA for employees enrolled in a Cigna Consumer-Directed Health Plan. It can be used for dental and vision expenses before you meet your medical plan deductible. It can be used for regular qualified medical expenses after you meet your deductible.
- Dependent Care FSA: You can contribute up to $5,000 per household per year on a pre-tax basis to cover the cost of qualified child care, such as day care, nanny care, before and after school care and eldercare.
The health care FSA and dependent care FSA can only be elected during your new hire window, Open Enrollment or if you have a qualified life event. Once the amount is set, it cannot be changed during the year.
- Commuter Benefit Account: You can set aside up to $280* per month of pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible transit expenses and $280* for eligible parking expenses. Eligible expenses include public transit, official vanpool fees and parking related to your commute. You may start, stop or change your contributions at any time and your balance carries over year after year.
