Sunrun COVID-19 Time Off
We have implemented COVID-19 leave pay effective January 23, 2022. Sunrun will grant you up to 40 hours of paid time off due to a COVID-19-related absence that began on or after January 23, 2022, as determined by the Safety Team. For more information, refer to the following resources:
2022 California COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave
California’s COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave legislation was signed into law on February 9, 2022. This benefit provides up to 80 hours of leave pay for all California employees who have been on COVID-19-related leave on or after January 1, 2022. This law is currently scheduled to sunset on September 30, 2022.

If you have tested positive or been exposed to COVID-19, please complete Safety’s incident report. Once complete, you will receive instructions from HR Connect on next steps.
- Employees are responsible for submitting their COVID time off in Workday. It is then routed to their manager for approval.
- Employees on leave do not have access to Sunrun systems/email; however, they can still access Okta from a personal computer or device.
- If placed on leave, either you or your manager will need to email email@example.com 48 hours prior to your confirmed return date so that your systems can be reactivated.
